Planning is the first step for pursuing goals. Whether it is a business organisation, an educational body or even an individual, setting objectives and trying to achieve them is an essential activity. There can be different types of goals with varying degrees of importance and time spans. But, one thing that remain common is devising a plan that is efficient enough to help achieve these goals.

Meaning of Planning
Planning is the process of thinking about the activities required to achieve a desired goal. It involves the creation and maintenance of a plan, such as psychological aspects that require conceptual skills. The planning process:

· Arranges or creates the means required,
· Implements, directs, and monitors all steps in their proper sequence.
In simple words, planning is nothing but thinking in advance, what is to be done, why it is to be done when it is to be done, how and by whom it is to be done, in order to achieve the goal leading towards success and development.
